Zoals gewoonlijk heb ik een voorkeur voor melancholische en authentieke muziek van veelal  van singer-songwriters uit de Americana hoek. 

Verrassende nieuwkomers waren The Bony King of Nowhere, de dames Grace Cummings en Little Heather en de band The Last Dinner Party. Goede wijn behoeft geen krans. Prima  albums gehoord van bekende namen: Ray LaMontagne, Etan Huijs en Johnny Cash. Verrassende comebacks van Daryll Ann en Gavin Friday.

Buiten de boot vielen: Logan Ledger met Golden State, het album Stampede vol duetten van Orville Peck, Volume 1 van MRCY,  Passage Du Desir van Johnny Blue Skies (Sturgill Simpson) en het dans album In Waves van Jamie XX.

As usual, I prefer melancholic and authentic music, often from singer-songwriters in the Americana genre.

Surprising newcomers were The Bony King of Nowhere, the ladies Grace Cummings and Little Heather, and the band The Last Dinner Party.

Excellent albums from well-known names like Ray LaMontagne, Etan Huijs, and Johnny Cash. Unexpected comebacks from Daryll-Ann and Gavin Friday.

Falling short: Logan Ledger with Golden State, the duet-filled album Stampede by Orville Peck, Volume 1 by MRCY, Passage Du Désir by Johnny Blue Skies (Sturgill Simpson), and the dance album In Waves by Jamie XX.
